45 Days Of Untrieds Day 14: Fresh Paint Alex's Lemonade!

Woot woot, two weeks into the challenge! I have so far really enjoyed this challenge, I like that fact that I have to have a blog post up every day. On the days where I haven't posted I have felt so horrible, I'm glad I'm finally back on track!

Today's polish is one you can only if you live on the East Coast, and live near a Five Below. Back in the middle to end of June I went to my local Five Below and wanted to get some nice bright pastel creme finish polishes. Today's polish is one of them.

If you follow me on Instagram, (and thank you if you do!) I uploaded a photo of today's polish with a black and white glitter topping it off.

The polish I am talking about is Alex's Lemonade, its made by the company Fresh Paint which is I believe is related to the mainstream nail polish company we know called Color Club.

I love this color and I definitely represents 'lemonade' to me. Its a pale yellow color but is a lot lighter than the other pale yellow I own.

With the first coat you can expect some streaky-ness but I used about three coats and one coat of top coat to even it all out. It is a thick kind of creme polish so you can have some unevenness but top coat can even it out.

What I love most about this polish is that its scented! Yup, it is supposed to smell like lemonade but its hard to mask the smell of nail polish with some scents. I definitely can smell a sweet lemon drop scent when applying this polish and I can smell is lightly after top coat has been applied.

Don't forget to check out Adrianna's and Shaylads untired today!

What Five Below polishes do you own?

45 Days Of Untrieds Day 10: Color Club Eternal Beauty.

Hi!! Happy middle of the week! Sorry I've been MIA but I'm back in the game today! I definitely need to catch up to Adrianna who is up to day 15!

Today's untried is a beauty! I don't own many linear holographic polishes, most of them are the scattered kind. They are nice but when you get spoiled by a linear holo, there might be no going back.

The beautiful holo I have is from the Color Club Halo Hue's Collection. Its called Eternal Beauty!

When shopping at the Beauty Plus Salon I believe earlier this year I grabbed two from the collection and this is the one I am trying first. I have worn them before out and about around people but not here to show the blog. Lets get to it though shall we?

I freaking love this color, I love purple polishes in general but this one is in my top favorite purples for sure!

You could essentially get away with one coat of this polish, I know this because I have. In my photos for this post I used two with top coat.

I love the "oil spill" effect that you get when you have an amazing linear holo polish. I wish that the China Glaze Hologram Polishes were more like this, maybe then I would of bought some.

I hear that the Dance Legend Holos are like this, I think I need to get some of those now.

Don't forget to check out Adrianna and Shaylads to see their untrieds!

What are you favorite holographic polishes?

SNAAARKM Challenge Day 5. Your favorite Effect!

Hello!

Hope you all are having a good start to your week!

Today is SNAAARKM Challenge Day 5! Wow it is going by so fast! Today is all about my favorite effect!

There are a ton of different effects out there for nails these days! There are holographic top coats, flakies, crackles, magnetics, this could probably go on! Today I chose to showcase a magnetic polish. When magnetic polishes hit the market I bought into them instantly. The first ones I got were from Clarie's in the mall. Then China Glaze came out with theirs, ( I had such high hopes for that collection) then literally every company was coming out with them. I was just in Rite Aid the other day and saw another smaller brand had come out with some and that Sally Hansen has released theirs as well.

Unfortunately I don't think I want to pay the $10 price tag on them :(. Today though I bring you one of the Color Club Magnetics. I am definitely noticing that Color Club is becoming more readily available to people via Hot Topic, which is where I got this magnetic polish.  Also Rite Aid now sell Color Club polishes!

This polish is called Hypnotic. It is a bright medium fuchsia polish that when the magnet is applied it brings out a lighter fuchsia with a wavy design. Color Club had six polishes in this collection and this is really the only one that stood out to me. Now I see it everywhere!

This is what the Hypnotic looks like before the magnet and its only one coat! So if you don't want the magnetic effect then this polish is really pretty on its own!

                                                     This picture is natural sunlight.

These last two pictures are in the shade. You can see how dark the polish actually is.

I think I'll keep this on for a little while before changing back to a bright neon for summer!

So now that you have seen my favorite effect, go and check out the other SNAAARKM girls!

Until next time!

31 Day Challenge! Day 31! Re-create your Favorite Challenge!

I cannot believe that this is the last day of this challenge! I have learned so much from everyone who participated! I think I picked up tips and tricks for a million things! I'm so sad this is over but a little bit relieved that I won't have to change my polish so often anymore!

Today was recreate your favorite challenge, and we all decided that it would be a a good idea to choose a manicure from someone else to recreate. I had to chose two. I wanted to pay homage to Lindsay and Adrianna, who got me into this challenge and have become my best friends during this challenge!

So for my manicure I started with two coats of China Glaze from the Electropop Collection, Wicked Style; a bright fuchsia pink creme. Then like Lindsay did I also chose to attempt Adrianna's polka dots of glitter, and I also chose to recreate two ghosties from Lindsay's Pac-Man nails yesterday!

For the polka dots I used my Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy and picked out all the large purple hex glitter i could find do use! My pinkie came out the best and for the Pac-Man ghosties my pointer came out the best!

I am so grateful to Lindsay and Adri for letting me join in on the challenge and now I am at almost 2000 page views and 10 followers! I hope to gain as many followers as them some day! I cannot wait to post more this week starting with a Valentines day Nail art on Friday! So stay tuned for that!

I also want to thank everyone that took the time to come over and read my blog as well, with out the readers there would be no blog!

Meanwhile now that your done reading this, I have one last request and that is to check out the other fabulous ladies who are finishing this challenge today or still working on it!

My little haul... China Glaze and Color Club ( Pic Heavy)

Hey everyone!

So back on Wednesday I went to my local Sally's to see if they had any of the China Glaze Let It Snow collection in. It also happened to be the day I had to pick up my dad from the train station so it worked out well.

Okay so I got to get two of the 12 polishes from the collection.
