31 Day Challenge! Day 31! Re-create your Favorite Challenge!

I cannot believe that this is the last day of this challenge! I have learned so much from everyone who participated! I think I picked up tips and tricks for a million things! I'm so sad this is over but a little bit relieved that I won't have to change my polish so often anymore!

Today was recreate your favorite challenge, and we all decided that it would be a a good idea to choose a manicure from someone else to recreate. I had to chose two. I wanted to pay homage to Lindsay and Adrianna, who got me into this challenge and have become my best friends during this challenge!

So for my manicure I started with two coats of China Glaze from the Electropop Collection, Wicked Style; a bright fuchsia pink creme. Then like Lindsay did I also chose to attempt Adrianna's polka dots of glitter, and I also chose to recreate two ghosties from Lindsay's Pac-Man nails yesterday!

For the polka dots I used my Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy and picked out all the large purple hex glitter i could find do use! My pinkie came out the best and for the Pac-Man ghosties my pointer came out the best!

I am so grateful to Lindsay and Adri for letting me join in on the challenge and now I am at almost 2000 page views and 10 followers! I hope to gain as many followers as them some day! I cannot wait to post more this week starting with a Valentines day Nail art on Friday! So stay tuned for that!

I also want to thank everyone that took the time to come over and read my blog as well, with out the readers there would be no blog!

31 Day Challenge! Day 30 Inspired By A Tutorial

Good afternoon!

Today is Day 30 of the challenge! I'm still in disbelief that February starts on Wednesday! January has been an awesome month with this challenge, so many exciting things have happened not only with my blog but in my personal life as well and they continue to grow in that area!

I am so thankful that I get to share it with you guys on the blog!

On to the tutorial inspired nails. This tutorial is actually a re-promote from back in October. I kind of went through an "need to practice nail art everyday" phase and this was one of the ones that I was so proud of!

31 Day Challenge. Day 29 Inspired by the Supernatural! Plus an Update!

Happy day 29! Only two more days left of this challenge! Today is be inspired by the supernatural! I am all for the ghost and aliens and the unknown. October is my favorite month just because of all the shows and movies that come out! Every Friday night I religiously (when its a new episode) watch Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel! They are by far the best ghost investigators out there and literally give me chills with each episode even if I have already seen it! Yes I do believe there is something beyond that we cannot see, I have had plenty of experiences to back it up!

With my little rant out the way, you should watch the show and see that my nails are not a tribute to them, I am no way ready to attempt and butcher their logo for the show on my nails. So I took more of different turn. Who doesn't know who Super Mario is? I grew up with him from the time SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) was out till now! If you don't know Boo the ghost in the game then you need to go play now!

31 Day Challenge. Day 28 Inspired by a Flag.

Sooo.. I have been MIA for the last 2 days on here. I hated it but I was soo busy! Between work I was spending some much needed friend time on Friday. I have a best friend of mine who is moving away at the beginning of March so we were kind of spending time together with some of our other friends bowling and shopping and out to dinner! Then on Saturday I spent the much needed day with my mom. I can't remember the last time her and I actually went shopping and to more than one store! It was soo much fun!

31 Day Challenge. Day 26 Inspired By A Pattern

Happy Thursday!

Soooo... today is all about patterns or what inspires us. I've been feeling springy lately only because we still have no measurable snow fall this winter. Its crazy! It snows, then rains and gets washed away, I'm not complaining though. I haven't had to call out of work yet due to weather!

So for today's manicure I used my new Zoya polish and new favorite pink Flora. Its a bright bubblegum pink creme that is gorgeous! I cannot wait to wear this more for spring time! I purchased Flora when Zoya had their get 2 polishes free as long as you pay the shipping. I plan on doing a review of my Zoya Polishes after the challenge is over.

After applying my base color I stamped with my Wet n Wild Black Creme polish the argyle stamp from my Salon Express Kit.

31 Day Challenge. Day 25 Inspired By Fashion.

I have to say with only about five days left of this challenge I am going to be sad to see it end, but also relieved. Changing polish everyday is just crazy but so much fun! If anyone else takes on this challenge let me know so I can see how you interpret the challenges. Once this challenge is done I have some pretty awesome things coming up (that I have some to still think of). I don't think I am going to post every day only because my schedule changes every week and I like to keep a manicure on more than 12 hours lol. Otherwise I think that probably twice a week possibly three times will be the schedule from then on. I have a couple of product reviews that I want to try out ( Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips :) ) and some Valentines Day nail art!

I know I have probably done that whole speech before so bare with me if I did, sorry! I do want to come up with at least 3 nail designs for each month whether there is a holiday or not to celebrate so look out for that after the challenge too!

On to the challenge!

I am by no mean a person who follows fashion. I love seeing the different trends but I usually wear what I feel comfy in. With that said, today is inspired by fashion so at first I was at a total loss. No idea what to do, I googled fashion ideas and then taking a cue from Lindsay I googled fashion shows like she did and found this design.

Its from a fashion show last year in Vietnam, its the dress that has the multi-colored flowers on it.

So that's what I recreated! I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl as my base color. Then I stamped with Sinful Colors Fig, China Glaze Blue Years Eve and Zoya Savita. 

31 Day Challenge. Day 24 Inspired by a Book!

Good afternoon polish lovers !

Today's challenge was to be inspired by a book. First book I thought about doing was Harry Potter but then I thought about my other favorite book, Twilight. I love this series, the books are amazing and the movies just bring it to life!

31 Day Challenge. Day 23 Inspired by a movie!

Hey ladies! Sorry for once again skipping a day! Yesterday was the wake for my cousin who passed away over the weekend. We were unsure if we were going to get to go but at last minute we found a way to get there so we went. Needless to say it was a lot of running around in the rain and dark and hugging.

But day 23 of the challenge is inspired by a movie! I had no clue what to do for this challenge, at first I was like I'll do Titanic, it is one of my favorite movies but for artwork, I'm not that talented soo.... yeah on to the next choice!

I was at work thinking about it and it suddenly hit me, Hocus Pocus! I have loved that movie ever since I was 6 when it came out. It is the reason why my cats name is Binx after the cat in the movie, even though she is not a black cat. :) I watch this movie every time that it is on. Its usually on in the fall time so its like the movie that ushers in Halloween and the fall for me.

31 Day Challenge. Day 20 Water Marble Nails!

AHHHHH!  We have come to my favorite nail challenge of this whole thing!!

Happy Happy Friday Ladies!

Today I have for you Water Marble Nails!! I was so excited about this one, I watched dozens of YouTube tutorials and then went to work on practicing a few times. The key trick to water marbling is A: have room temperature water! I noticed if the water was too cold that the polish would dry quicker and you couldn't make a design. B: have lots of toothpicks and cotton swabs and remover available. C: Color combination! This is where it is key to your design, not all colors work together like you may think, I think I tried tons of different ones before realized what would work.

31 Day Challenge! Day 19 Galaxy Nails!

OMG I cannot believe this challenge only has like 12 days left! I am sooo sad this will be over but I want to continue posting everyday! Maybe not a new manicure everyday because trying to do that now with this challenge is just too much!

Day 19 is Galaxy Nails! How exciting! I get to practice my sponging techniques yet again and this time I think I passed with flying colors!

For the polishes I used is OPI Linkin' Park After Dark as my base color...

31 Day Challenge. Day 18 Half moon Nails.

Hey guys!

Okay so first off I'm glad to say I'm back today with two post! I'm sorry I had to miss a day but we had a death in my family. :( My two younger cousins lost their dad in a terrible accident at his job at a ski resort. I'll spare you the horrible details but he was a life taken way to young from this world, we will miss him dearly! I'm more worried about his son and daughter then myself. I have never dealt well with death ever since the first death I experienced when I was 9. I don't get emotional and I get nervous and have no idea what to say. The only time I ever got that emotional was when my grandmother passed February of last year, I still get emotional from that time to time. I guess we just all deal differently.

31 Day Challenge! Day 17 Glitter Nails!

Hello lovely Lacquer lovers!

Today is glitter day!! What girl doesn't love glitter polish! I know at least a quarter of my collection is glitters! It was so hard to choose a glitter polish today! After a few trial and errors I decided to show off my favorite glitter that is so compatible with my skin tone and one that, due to the name of it of course women would love to have.

31 Day Challenge. Day 15 Delicate Print.

Hi all!

 I'm so glad to be back on the computer today after yesterday, it was just not fun. Anyway, today is Day 15 we are officially half way through this challenge!!! Today is delicate print, now I went about this by either wanting to used fishnet print or lace, and well the fishnet didn't work out so well so I went with lace, then I though about using some piece of old fabric with lace that we don't use and sponging it to get the effect on my nails. I had seen it once in a tutorial and thought it was cool... nope that didn't work either. This whole process has been trial and error and I love that I am discovering new things everyday I work on these challenges.

31 Day Challenge. Day 14 Flowers!

Hey all so today I am posting from my phone so I apologize for the short post.

Today is flowers and who doesn't love flowers! Today I used my new Wet 'n' Wild polish in I Need A Refresh-mint as my base and then stamped some pretty flowers in black on them.

I love this new polish I cannot believe that I never had a color like this before! Opaque in two coats and a pretty creme finish!

31 Day Challenge. Day 13 Animal Print!

Happy Friday the 13th!!

I think that this has been one of the post that I could not wait to do next to the rainbow one! Ever since I got my nail stamping kit and saw that I had gotten a leopard print pattern I couldn't wait to use it.

With the salon express kit that I bought it is definitely a trial and error project. I think I went through every one of my polishes before I found out that only some of them work with the kit.

31 Day Challenge. Day 12 Stripes!

Good morning, yeah I'm not a happy camper this morning, there is snow on the ground, but its raining which means it probably won't last long but who knows. At least the roads are clear so it's not a total loss and I can go see my girlfriends today. :)

Today is stripes day of the challenge and I can say that I really like mine. Its a bright manicure which helps with the dreary weather. I used two coats of Jessie's Girl JulieG which is  bright pinky peach color as my base, this is a perfect spring color and that is what I am thinking about these days, spring.

For my stripes I used a polish I bought a few years ago that I thought was going to be like For Audry because in thats what it looked like, well looks are deciveing. Its a polish by Savina called Blue For You, it dries a darker tealish color when applied to the nail but it was the perfect color for the stripes!

31 Day Challenge. Day 11 Polka Dot Nails!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I have to say first off that I am really enjoying this challenge and how it has forced me to A: Get out of my comfort zone, B: use my noggin, and C: getting to post on my blog more!

When I woke up and got all ready to post I started having Internet issues. Ugh I hate computers sometimes. But after just walking away I came back to a perfectly working computer! When I logged into blogger  I saw I finally have reached over 1000 page views. That made me smile. When I started this challenge I had only like 400 something so that means a lot that people have taken notice.

But I really have to thank Lindsay and Adri whom I met through twitter and got me to do this challenge! It was them and Holly and Tiffany who also helped by retweeting each others blog post so I owe all of you a huge THANK YOU!

31 Day Challenge. Day 10 Gradient Nails.

Good afternoon!

Today is day 10 of the challenge and I can definitely say that this is not my favorite challenge. I don't like how this manicure looks at all. Gradients are not my thing, or I just need more practice, probably the second option.

Today I did a purple gradient since its where I have the most colors. The colors I used today are, OPI Linkin' Park After Dark, OPI Funky Dunkey, Funky Fingers Cheshire, and Mode Shade # 126 a very light lavender.

31 Day Challenge. Day 9 Rainbow Nails.

Holy potatoes, I cannot believe it is day nine! It feels like we just started this challenge yesterday!

Today is Rainbow Nails. I think this is the challenge I have been most excited about and the one that I like the most so far!

For this challenge I literally stayed up till 12:30am back on Saturday night trying all different types of designs. I tried sponge gradient, painting stripes, but nothing seemed to work. Then I thought maybe I could stamp something and BINGO that was the ticket!

31 Day Challenge. Day 8 Metallic Nails.

Hello!

So I was so wrapped up in how I was going to do tomorrows post I almost forgot about today's! I was up til about 1AM trying to figure out something and I think you guys will like it. But....you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see!

Alas today is Metallic Nail day and I have my absolute favorite metallic polish that Sally Hansen makes or made, I'm noticing not everyone has it now and only a few places do so I guess I'll have to pick up some back ups!
