Oh man is this post going to be cringe worthy on so many levels!
Good morning lovelies! I hope you are all doing well and are gearing up for the weekend! As you read this post I will be at work patiently waiting for the clock to strike 5:30pm so I can get out and have a nice day off on Friday. Unfortunately with my job I have to work at least one weekend day but on occasions I get a whole weekend off and when I do its is GLORIOUS!
Today I thought I would take you back in time four years and show you my very first blog post. The whole reason I started my blog was that I enjoyed reading nail polish blogs at the time and my collection was steadily growing. I wasn't as heavily into makeup as I am now so that's where my blog name came from. They were my nails and my polish and there you go.
I remember the name of the first post and it was an introduction post about myself, so really I guess I'm taking you back to the second post on the blog but its the first one I showed of a manicure!
I called it Springtime Crackle. Crackle was huge four years, I remember desperately wanting to get my hands on it, thank goodness we had just had a Sally's Beauty open up in the next town over!
So... brace yourselves... if its too bad... look away...

Valentines inspired polish options!
Good Morning guys!! Guess what? Its snowing...AGAIN!! I swear we loose the snow then it comes back ten fold.
Did you know that Valentines Day is only 9 days away? I don't particularly like Valentines day, I just never have, maybe its because I haven't had a proper valentine, but you know, I am my own darn valentine! Plus who can pass up 75% off candy the next day?
But what I don't mind is sporting a Valentines day manicure on the day. So in case you needed to know of some polishes that were V-day inspired, or just looking for new color to wear, or even in need of some inspiration, I have complied some options.
Lets take a look!!
The first polish I have to show you is OPI Charged Up Cherry, its a bright pink/fuchsia polish that isn't that sickly sweet light pink everyone associates with Valentines Day, its kind of on the darker spectrum.
How about a polish that's name is as sweet as the polish looks, here is Queen Cupcake from Funky Fingers. I don't believe that you can get this polish anymore, but I would say use it as inspiration to find a color just like maybe?
If you want a polish that is the big 3 free and from a company that is pretty awesome, check out Zoya's Flora!
In this photo from 2012 I have it paired with a glitter that is also great for Valentines Day! Its called You Glitter Be Good To Me, from OPI! If you don't have this glitter or can't get to then OPI's Excuse Moi from the Muppet's Collection is another pink glitter that is awesome.
Here is another winner from OPI; Love is a Racket from the Serena Williams Collection.
Here I used it in a french manicure design from two years ago. Its a amazingly beautiful glass fleck polish. You can't tell here which is also when you can tell that my camera sucked. Anyhow this makes me want to wear it for this Valentines Day... We'll see! I also love the little white hearts I stamped on! (That was one of my first attempts at stamping ever!)
Lastly we have one last red polish. This one you know from one of my recent post. Its Wet 'n' Wild's Heatwave.
Now that we have normal polish choices covered, I also chose two texture polishes that are very much appropriate for the big love holiday!
From the Julie G. Frosted Gumdrop Collection we have Hot Cinnamon and Crushed Candy!
These will add just a bit more sparkle to your holiday! Plus the names I think are just adorable for this time of the year!!
Wow! That was a mouthful! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and maybe it did give you some inspiration for colors or polishes to use if you own them! I will talk to you all soon!

Next up we have my absolute favorite red polish of all time, China Glaze Cranberry Splash. I know this came out in a Christmas Collection but it does scream love and romance to me!

45 Days of Untrieds Day 13: Cover Girl: My Papaya
Good Morning!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Monday! I spent mine doing laundry, trying to renew the registration on my car but the DMV's computers were down so we have to go back today. Then I had to call Geico because some person is or was trying to use my email on their policy, so I had to call them to remove since I don't obviously want these emails. But I decided to just eventually delete the account since it might of been a bad part on Yahoo as well possibly giving the same username to someone.
Anyway on to today's untried. I have a few Cover Girl Polishes that I have tried on here, last Halloween I think I showed you all Wine Stain, which also so happens to show up in my stats as most searched.
Today's Cover Girl Polish I have is called My Papaya! It caught my eye a while ago while wandering around the make up section at good ole Walmart.
My Papaya is a orange-coral that has a shimmer too it. I picked it not because I love the color coral but because its bright and fun and I think I'm auto-programmed to pick those colors first.
This polish takes about the usual 2-3 coats to be opaque. The formula is really nice, a little runny but nothing you can't fix with a clean up brush and some acetone!
The only thing I would change about this polish is the shimmer. You can clearly see it in the bottle but once on the nail it disappears. Its sad because it is really pretty.
If you want to pick up a Cover Girl Polish you can find them usually where ever they have Cover Girl Cosmetics. It may not be huge display but I'm sure you can find them!
Don't forget to check out Adrianna's untireds, she is kicking some butt in this challenge, and check out Shaylads on Instagram, she just had her appendix out so she is recovering go and give her some love while she is healing.
Do you like cosmetic companies putting out nail polish or should they just stick to make up?

L.A. Girl Disco Brights. Vinyl Record.
Holy crap!! Long time no post! I am so sorry for not posting! The last time I posted was the last day of the SNARRRKM Challenge. That's over two weeks! I feel that is so unacceptable! I just wasn't inspired by anything.
Although today I am back! Today I have a polish from L.A. Girl Disco Brights polish. This photos and notes on this polish has been sitting in my 'need to blog' folder for at least a month now!
All of the polishes that are in this collection are creme finishes and glow under a black light! I sadly do not have a black light, so I can't show you how cool this polish is.
Vinyl Record is a pretty teal creme that leads more blue then green. I think I have like three of them now!
The formula on this polish was a dream. Two coats and perfect opacity! The brush is the usual standard brush and I had no problems with it.

I think that this polish would be great to stamp with and then sticking your hands under a black light and only the bits that you stamped light up!
L.A. Girl polishes are usually sold at Rite Aid. At least that's where I got mine from. I don't actually remember how much this was but I want to say it was probably $3.99.
